Atlanta Percussion Ensemble

The Atlanta Percussion Ensemble (APE) is comprised of post-collegiate percussionists that are teaching and performing in the metro-Atlanta area. Our purpose is to perform chamber and larger percussion ensemble literature at a professional level.

Atlanta Youth Percussion Ensemble

The Atlanta Youth Percussion Ensemble (AYPE) is an immersive percussion program for high-school age students. Members access teaching and support from instructors, experience playing professional-level music with their peers, and perform at least once per season.

BASIC INFO

The Atlanta Percussion Ensemble provides opportunities for established percussionists to hone their skills alongside their colleagues and engage with their communities through music. This program is based around a flexible series of performances each season.

Requirements
​

  • Experience playing and performing small and large percussion literature

  • A degree in music performance or education

The Atlanta Youth Percussion Ensemble

BASIC INFO

This is a competitive, application-based program designed to elevate the experience level and skills of young percussionists. The AYPE has both a Spring and a Fall season each year, with an application process and fee for each.

Requirements
​

  • Currently enrolled in a public or private high school band program (Home-Schooled on a per-case basis)

  • Attendance of rehearsals and performances

  • A one-time membership fee per semester
